A Woman in her Thirties' List of Excuses

Do you want to know what bugs me to my core?  People who complain about how busy they are, and then they go on social media and complain about how busy they are.  So I'm not going to do that here.  All I'm going to say is that life is all... wha?!... and the blog has taken to the back burner.  Sorry!

Here is a list of excuses for why I've been neglecting the blog lately:

1.  These guys.  I mean, for reals.  They're crazy and fun and awesome and all that stuff, but they also do not like it when Mom sits down and tries to get some time to herself.

2.  Inkpossible.  Did I mention that I'm doing some work on this incredible scholarship/mentor program with my publisher?  It's in full swing now, and I just spent the last 45 min of nap time doing some major editing work.  More on this later.

3.  I've been geeking out with librarians.  Did I mention I spoke last week to a group of librarians about the changing publishing world and how it can positively impact the classroom? I did that!

(This is my presentation. I got the right person to figure out how to get it projected, and I was SO happy!  Technology usually hates me.)

4.  Spring.  You wouldn't know it based on our attire today, but we've had some incredible weather this month.  Here are a few highlights:

Ugh, and now it's 2:42pm, which means it's time to get moving again.  Ugh.  Have you read that article about busyness being a disease?  You should.   In all your spare time ;)

  1. Here's another great article about how you look at your "busyness": http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-dannemiller/busy-is-a-sickness_b_6761264.html. Your kiddos are ever-adorable! :)

  2. YES. All of that is so true. I feel like most of my busyness is from the constant house cleaning though!
